Friday 3rd October - The Subterraneans at the Jam House
Info: http://www.thesubs.co.uk/ This band are Jam House regulars and also play frequently in Escape Coventry (was the Old Fire Station); they play a set of covers from the likes of U2, Kaiser Chiefs, Zutons and Orson to name a few. They are really very good.

Tickets £5 before 10pm or £8 afterwards. Band comes on at 11pm, they normally play two sets and the venue closes at 2am. http://www.thejamhouse.com/ The Jam House, St.Pauls Square, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

NB DRESS CODE APPLIES "The Jam House is an over 21's venue, we operate a smart casual dress code, no sportswear, no trainers, smart dark jeans are allowed - nothing faded or ripped"

Plan is to catch train from Leamington direct to Snow Hill, then a short walk to the venue. Last train back (23:30) would mean missing most of the band therefore we'd book taxis back for around 1:30am Please contact Heather before 26th Sept if you're interested in coming along, heather@ttsoft.co.uk

Saturday 6th December, London. Bears' Big Day Out: Monopoly Madness! NEW DATE
Info: The challenge is to visit every place on the Monopoly board in one day - no public transport allowed, we're a walking group! The plan is to catch the train en masse to Marylebone (that's one off the list already) and the game will begin as soon as we arrive. Teams of four people then have until 5pm to visit every location. To gain points, you must take a photo of a team member next to the appropriate street sign/outside a jail/electricity company etc. Points will be awarded based upon the value of the location on the Monopoly board. The game will finish at 5pm in a pub of our choosing close to Marylebone station. Any team late back will lose points. In the event of a draw the team who finished first will win. We'll then head to a local restaurant for a slap-up meal, aiming to catch the last train home at about 2140.

Cost: £5 per team which will become the prize money (probably enough for a celebratory bottle of bubbly or at least a round of drinks), your train fare and meal money. We will advise the cost of these nearer the time.

Equipment: Photocopy of the Monopoly board (we'll provide these), a digital camera and an A to Z.

Contact: Helen Forrest & Jonathan Carr We'll need to know the teams at least a week before, and we reserve the right to add all sorts of weird rules!
